The role of the Portfolio Manager is for those who are currently working in research (with at least 5 years of experience) in a large company – who would like to move to a smaller, faster paced start up. This role is aimed at individuals who are interested in becoming fund managers.
Base salary range: 25L to 30L / year
Requirements:
- At least 5 year of experience in a PMS, AIF, mutual fund house, investment bank, or merchant bank with experience in research (examples: Marcellus, Ambit, Kotak, etc), or experience in research in ratings agencies such as Moody’s
- CFP professional with CA/MBA (from reputed university)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and trends. Conducting research on individual companies and industries to gather information and insights that inform investment decisions.
- Developing investment strategies and creating investment portfolios that align with the fund's objectives.
- Monitoring the performance of the fund's investments and making adjustments as needed.
- Communicating with clients to provide updates on the fund's performance and to discuss investment decisions.
- Staying up to date on financial and economic developments that could impact the fund's investments. Staying up to date on industry trends and economic developments that could impact the companies they cover.
- Analyzing financial statements and other relevant data to assess the financial health and performance of companies.
